Peter Kesterton (writer) was born in Manchester, but came to Bristol to study at Bristol University. He fell in love with the city and its people and has stayed ever since.

Before embarking on a career as a writer Peter worked at the BBC in Bristol, both for the prestigious Natural History Unit, and also for the local news programme, Points West.

Peter lives in Bristol and is married with two children.

 

Jilly Bond (director) began her career at the BBC Natural History Unit after studying English and Drama at Bristol University, and then trained as an actor at the Drama Studio.  She has worked as an actor, director and writer for over 20 years; her directing credits include The Web (by Bristol-based writer Jill Truman) and The Bright and Bold Design (Peter Whelan) in London, as well as Nomxakazo: Entertaining Angels Unawares (which she also wrote),  Heartbreak House (G.B.Shaw), Dear Brutus (J.M.Barrie), The Cherry Orchard (Anton Chekhov) and Sleep With Me (Hanif Kureshi) at Drama Studio London.  She has written and directed two one-woman shows:- Virginia Woolf: The Private Mind and Servant or Mistress; Sex in the 18th Century Novel.

 

Charlotte D'Arcy (stage manager) has been on a placement with the stage management department of the Nottingham Playhouse and at the Salisbury Playhouse. Recently graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where she was the Stage Manager on The Front Page and The Witch of Edmonton tour, DSM on The Mysteries, ASM on Maria Marten, Sound Designer/Operator on A Small Family Business, and Construction Assistant on The Merry Wives of Windsor. She drives, has good music and score reading skills, and is looking for work in a Stage Management department. Email Charlotte at charlottedarcy@yahoo.co.uk.

 
Becci Gemmell
Becci Gemmell (Jan) has just completed a one-year Postgraduate Acting Course at The Drama Studio London. Roles performed whilst training include Beatrice Gwynne in Call it a Day; Lily in Red Peppers; Masha in Three Sisters; Paulina in The Winter's Tale. Becci has also recently played Jude in Wilde Life – a short film for Seachange Productions. She is delighted to be involved in the New Writing Festival and is looking forward to presenting Air Guitar.
 
Jeremy Hart-Davis (Edward) After graduating from Exeter University, Jeremy trained at the Drama Studio in London. His theatre work has included national and international touring. For Compass Theatre he was Chorus in Philoctetes, for Bold & Saucy Theatre Co. he played Romeo in an open-air tour of Romeo & Juliet, he was the Mad Hatter in an international tour of Planet Alice, Ferdinand and Alonso in The Tempest for Actors' Touring Company and Orestes in Electra for Actors of Dionysus. In London theatres he has appeared in Ray Cooney's Cash On Delivery, The Soldier's Tale, Love & Understanding, Macbeth, The Warp and The Bright & Bold Design. Film work includes Disaster – The Millenium Bug, Combed Out and Break Out.

Toby Mace

Toby Mace trained at Drama Studio London, representing the school in the William Poel Festival at the Royal National Theatre in Two Noble Kinsmen. Other theatre credits include Victory, Nomxakazo; Entertaining Angels Unawares and Spring Awakening at Battersea Arts Centre. He has appeared in Hollyoaks and Waking the Dead on television, as well as taking a leading role in The Courtroom. Toby was also in the film Punters and, perhaps most memorably, played the boy who experienced ‘that kiss’ in the Marmite commercials!
